Position Overview
 
The Head of Finance Operations will serve as a key strategic partner and "right-hand" to the Chief Financial Officer, facilitating the efficient operation of the Finance strategy, transformation and supporting leadership in achieving strategic goals. This role requires a highly organized, proactive, and versatile individual with a strong understanding of the business and customers (internal & external), excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. The Head of Finance Operations acts as a liaison between the Chief Financial Officer, the Finance leadership team and overall Finance teams, and other parts of the organization and influences stakeholders to facilitate decision-making based on established objectives and priorities. This role is a problem solver who will create and lead day-to-day governance approach, project management and coordination across all aspects of TAIT’s finance organization. 
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Strategic Support:
    • Assist the Chief Financial Officer in the development and execution of Finance strategies, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
    • Help in defining and prioritizing Finance initiatives, and monitoring progress against strategic goals.
    • Assist Finance Leadership team in identifying talent or resource gaps necessary to support strategy.
    • Provide research and analysis to inform strategic decisions and identify new opportunities to reduce complexity.

  • Operational Management:
    • Facilitate all aspects of time management, prioritization, and preparation of finance action items and agenda including post-meeting follow-ups.
    • Coordinate with various teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely execution of projects and initiatives. 
    • Oversee the preparation of reports, presentations, and other communications as needed 
    • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates to the Chief Financial Officer and the Finance Leadership Team. 

  • Process Management: 
    • Analyze current financial processes and identify areas for improvement.
    • Develop and implement streamlined processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
    • Establish and maintain process documentation and ensure adherence to established procedures.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the finance team.
  • Communication and Coordination: 
    • Facilitate clear and consistent communication between the Chief Financial Officer and Finance teams, ensuring alignment and collaboration. 
    • Prepare meeting agendas, manage logistics, and ensure effective follow-up on action items across the business. 
    • Serve as liaison for collaboration with enablers, capabilities and market teams.

  • Project Management
    • Provide exceptional project management for functional and cross-functional teams assigned by the Chief Financial Officer. Organize and prepare materials and presentations for internal and external meetings.
    • When needed, plan and influence resources and ensure that teams are aligned and working effectively. 

  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: 
    • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identifies and manages project risks and escalate as needed for resolution. Provide solution recommendations.
    • Assist in decision-making processes by providing relevant data, analysis, and recommendations. 
    • Anticipate the needs of the Chief Financial Officer and Finance Leadership Team and proactively address them.  

  • Relationship Management: 
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization and external partners. 
    • Represent the Chief Financial Officer in internal and external meetings, as needed.
       
  • Finance Understanding:  
    • Maintain a strong understanding of KPI’s, project financials and cash flow from projects and overall financial statements. 
    • Support the Chief Financial Officer in identifying opportunities to improve internal and external reporting of financial results. 
 
6-Month Outcomes:
 
    1. Alignment of Finance Team goals to overall Company goals. Increase capacity and performance of Finance leadership to become more efficient and agile in decision making.
    2. Support the reorganization of the Finance structure to support the new organization model.
    3. Develop project plans, set milestones and manage project timelines and budgets for Finance initiatives including:
      • Accounting Methodology implementation
      • Consistent Consolidated Project Financials database to support Market Revenue & Margin reporting for new organization model.
      • Support process to break out cost of sales between materials, contingent labor, outsourced spend and overhead.
      • Support the project to simplify the legal organization structure to remove complexity in the financial reporting and intercompany transactions.
    4. Support development of financial education curriculum to teach basic understanding of the P&L and the gross margin methodology. Develop the process for how we communicate changes within Finance and to the rest of the organization.
    5. Support revision of the internal and external financial reporting packages including but not limited to:
      • Lender & Rating Agency reporting.
      • Monthly Financial Report shared with GEC, ELT, OLT and Board of Directors.
    6. Support Finance leadership team in development of standard policies and procedures.  Begin development of “Finance Policies & Procedures Manual” to support alignment across all Markets and Capabilities and to provide support for M&A integration.
    7. Provide support with M&A diligence and integration as needed.
 
 
Qualifications & Skills:
  
  • Education:
    • Minimum HS diploma or GED;
    • a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, project management, or a related field is preferred.
    • Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., MBA, PMP, Six Sigma) are a plus. 
 
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in strategy, business operations, finance roles, project management, business operations, or a related role.
    • Experience in a live entertainment industry or a similar market is a plus.
