Description

The IT Cloud Manager is responsible for maintaining the organisation's effectiveness and efficiency by defining and delivering Cloud Services to support the overall business objectives, including the hosted infrastructure and SaaS solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting in setting Cloud vision;
  • Facilitate further cloud adoption with the organization;
  • Customer engagement architecture and designing cloud solutions;
  • Developing strategic plans and setting timelines for evaluation, development, and deployment of all Cloud services;
  • Collaborate with integrated, cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive strategies that enable Cloud and Infrastructure transformations;
  • Managing multiple complex cloud projects;
  • Scaling and optimizing cloud platforms, while keeping costs and efforts sustainable;
  • Driving innovation, provide vision, and be deep in the technical details across many projects;
  • Ensure technology standards and best practices are met;
  • Developing and implementing disaster and emergency recovery plans;
  • Supervising workflow of Cloud department

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary Qualification in Information Technology or related field;
  • Public Cloud Certification(s) (AWS, MS Azure, GCP);
  • ITIL Certification an added advantage;
  • 5+ years experience in Cloud solutions (IaaS/PaaS/Big Data and Analytics) Strategy and Implementation for mid or large size organizations;
  • Experience managing Cloud teams


Knowledge

  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel);
  • In-depth understanding of the industry;
  • Technical/Professional knowledge and skills;
  • Knowledge of Azure, AWS or equivalent (e.g. CloudFormation, EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, VPC, Route 53, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and IAM);
  • Knowledge of corporate IT, data centers, ticketing system implementations, monitoring software implementation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement approaches
