This position

VikingCloud is seeking a software engineer skilled with the Java programming language. The ideal candidate will also have some practical coding experience with Python.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with Software Engineering, QA, and Product Management teams to develop, and maintain scalable, high availability software systems
  • Engage in full life-cycle development of event-driven microservices.
  • Write, test, and maintain performant and highly-scalable code using Java and/or Python.

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of full life-cycle commercial Java development experience preferably using Spring Framework or similar.
  • Experience with version control systems like git and understanding of agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases such as MySQL and Postgres.
  • Applicants with Python and/or Kafka experience preferred.
