What we are looking for Design Quality Engineer

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Establish the Product Assurance project requirements and relevant documentation (ie. PA and Safety Plan, FOD Plan)
• Act as main project interface to the customer and the subcontractors for quality and safety
• Participation in Design and Validation phases and related project milestone meetings
• Support projects teams in terms of RAMS (ie. FMECA, Hazard Analysis, Reliability Analysis and Critical Items List) and PMP activities (ie. DML, DMPL, DPL and DCL)
• Managing approval processes for components deviating from applicable standards and/or customer requirements (RFA, RFD and RFW)
• Review and approve project documentation including documentation from suppliers
• Lead/participate to internal and external Audits as required

 

Education/Experience

• Degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or in a similar relevant discipline
• Several years (5+) of professional experience in Product Assurance/Quality Management
• Working experience in Space / Aeronautic Industry and similar (experience on ESA project is a plus)

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Configuration Management knowledge
• Knowledge of standards such as EN9100, ECSS, NASA and MIL
• Ability to quickly understand and analyze technical products/systems and their function
• Ability to work autonomously but as a part of a team
• Good communication and negotiation skills

 

Desired skills

  • Experience on ESA Project
  • Working experience in Space / Aeronautic Industry and similar
  • Several years (5+) of professional experience in Product Assurance/Quality Management
