JOB TITLE: BUILDING MAINTENANCE TECH

Pay: $19-$22 hourly depending on experience
Schedule: M-F 0700AM-4PM 
 
JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the care and maintenance of the building. This position will be a full-time, non-supervisory position. This is also an on-call position, though after-hours work is expected to be rare and limited.
 
  • Maintenance of buildings, parking lots and yards
  • Assist with maintenance and repairs of generators, lighting controls, HVAC systems, and fire systems
  • Perform general facility upkeep, to include, basic plumbing, electrical and handyman-type repairs
  • Keep showers and restrooms in good working order
  • Assist in maintenance projects which may include painting, repairs, furniture, warehouse management, etc.
  • Ensure landscape irrigation properly maintained
  • Opens and closes work orders in CMMS per SLA guidelines
  • Completes monthly inspections
  • Assists in data/electrical wiring
  • Assists with cubical layouts in office buildings
  • Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed
  • Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety
  • May travel to other company facilities for maintenance and building upkeep
  • Operates company vehicle in a safe manner and follows prescribed routines to service locations in a timely manner. Performs other duties as assigned
 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.
 
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1-2 years of experience in maintenance, including some experience in HVAC, electrical and carpentry
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred
  • Electrical certification preferred
  • Additional certifications are desirable
  • Personal Driver’s License Required
  • Self-starter and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in a range of information technology tools and platforms i.e. MS Office Suite, CMMS, CAFM
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers
  • Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles and to understand operating budgets
  • Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions
  • Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
