Job Responsibilities: What you will do

Provides administrative support to the Claims Department. Supplies information, produces correspondence and otherwise performs administrative functions in relation to assigned tasks within specific claims units.

  • Process payments as directed by Claims Leadership and according to company policy.
  • Assist with directing internal and external incoming calls and/or taking phone messages.
  • Process and distribute mail, faxes and reports to Claims Examiners.
  • Processes and request police reports, photographs, and maintains logs.
  • Responsible for accurate statistical entry of all claims, check posting, voiding, or stop payment of checks in the AS400 computer system.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by leader.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations.

Qualifications: What you need to bring

  • 1 year experience in a Claims department.
  • 2 years office experience.
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Computer keyboarding; written and verbal communication; PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point, typing skills.
