Job Responsibilities: What you will do

Determine if equipment can be refurbished within appropriate amount of time, or if new equipment purchase is necessary. Effectively and accurately purchase quality IT equipment for the KNX enterprise at the best price; accept bids, negotiate and prepare price lists, issue purchase orders, check requisitions, conduct surveys, meet with sales representatives and coordinate delivery schedules. Develop and prepare equipment budgets verses actual cost summary reports and conduct internet research to develop and present new IT equipment concepts.

  • Refurbish existing equipment utilizing parts/components taken from other equipment.
  • Buy quality IT equipment for the operation of all the Swift locations, desktop/laptop/server/printers, etc.
  • Negotiate prices and take bids for IT equipment for all locations, based on the developed equipment specifications.
  • Maintain inventory of all parts and components utilized in repair/refurbishing work.

Qualifications: What you need to bring

  • 3+ years' help desk experience required.
  • Associates degree in a technical related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
  • Certification in applicable network technology at the administrator level preferred.
  • Must be able to diagnose equipment problems.
  • Must possess strong problem solving skills.
  • Must be able to work in high pressure situations.
  • Must possess strong communication skills.


Pay Range: $24.63 - $35.46 Hourly
