Pay Range: $59,750.00 - $72,500 Annual

Job Responsibilities: What you will do
Driver Qualification Leaders supervise a team of Driver Qualification Facilitators. Lead improvements that enhance on-boarding experience for all drivers. Evaluate driver leaders ability to effectively plan, guide and coach new drivers and provide recommended courses of action to Fleet and/or Terminal Leaders.
- Lead and coach Driver Qualification Facilitators (DQFs) to provide an exceptional training experience to New Hire Drivers. At some terminals may also have responsibility for fleet drivers.
- Track specific metrics for each DQF and provide guidance on how each DQF can improve their ability to support each New Hire Driver's progression through training to solo driver status.
- Coach DQF's on critical judgment and thinking skills in order to ensure DQF decision making is aligned with leadership expectations and in the best interest of Swift Transportation collectively.
- Create specific development plans with all DQFs to create a culture of development, while prioritizing creating conditions where team members can thrive.
- Facilitate and lead engaging and informative orientation sessions. Ensure that material is delivered in a timely fashion and provides drivers with information that excites and engages them into the Swift culture.
- Ensure all activities related to completion of driver files, verification of references, adherence to compliance related testing, and other pre-hire activities are done promptly and effectively to facilitate the hiring process.
- Act as internal advocates for trainee driver experience.
- Take appropriate actions to investigate and resolve concerns to achieve high levels of driver retention.
- Utilize multiple communications channels to remain in constant contact with new drivers and mentors.
- Ensure timeliness and accuracy of new hire driver pay.
- Collaborate with terminal and/or fleet leadership to ensure new hire drivers are assigned to the best fit/available mentor.
- Prepare and review reports on the performance of regional team of DQFs.
- Communicate frequently with DQFs, Operational Partners, Trainee Drivers and Driver Mentors to identify opportunities for process improvements to optimize organizational results.
- Maintain status of a DOT and non-DOT qualified collector for both hair and/or urine sample collections.
- Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.

Qualifications: What you need to bring
- 3+ years' experience in operations required.
- Previous leadership experience preferred.
- Must be service-orientated.
- Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to collaborate and possess consensus building skills.
- Must be able to lead others.
- Must be able to solve problems and provide conflict resolutions.
- Must be able to work in high-pressure situations.
- Must be familiar with MS Office.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Communication or Business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
- Qualified collector or able to become qualified within 30 days of hire, required.
