10 years of hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical systems on heavy duty Transportation Industry equipment

Will be required to previously have or obtain within 90 days of hire the Master Heavy Duty Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification. L2 Advanced Engine Diagnostic (ASE) certification
Knowledge of training techniques with ability to transfer knowledge
Additional requirements
Ability to travel 1 week out of the month, each month

Job Responsibilities: What you will do
Serve as the assigned regional technical expert for all complex electrical and mechanical matters. Consult with shop leadership and area maintenance directors to continuously advance technician development within his/her assigned region using Instructor-Led Training (ILT) and Web-Based Training (WBT) programs. Provide technical expertise to build complicated curriculums for existing and emerging technologies.
Serve as the assigned regional technical expert for all complex electrical and mechanical matters. Consult with shop leadership and area maintenance directors to continuously advance technician development within his/her assigned region using Instructor-Led Training (ILT) and Web-Based Training (WBT) programs. Provide technical expertise to build complicated curriculums for existing and emerging technologies.
- Provide advanced-level technical expertise to aid in the resolution of region-wide maintenance anomalies. Rapidly escalate and resolve issues with fleet wide impact.
- Collaborate with the Director of Training Operations and Compliance to design, develop, implement and evaluate complex curriculums on emerging technologies. Create and maintain advancement of technician development in all assigned regional shops. Identify areas for improvement and implement new training programs to address identified areas.
- Manage WBT course requirements for all assigned shops within designated region. Maintain all training records and tracking to be entered into the Swift Learning Management System (LMS) system. Document completed training and monitor incomplete courses, assignments, quizzes and course work. Follow up with technicians to ensure training is completed as assigned. Ensure all appropriate documentation is entered into Learning Management System (LMS).
- Regularly evaluate all technician development programs to determine relevance, accuracy, and alignment with existing equipment maintenance needs as well as the maintenance needs involved with future equipment purchases.
- Enhance safety awareness through all training activities in regional shops; promote and check to ensure safe work environments within designated region. Conduct and oversee Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)/Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) facility inspection reviews at assigned shops.
- Audit repairs that are being made to ensure quality maintenance on all equipment. Assist technicians and supervisory personnel in troubleshooting and in repairs of chronic equipment problems; report chronic deficiencies found to appropriate leadership. Report any and all equipment concerns that could affect warranty dollars recovery or failures in equipment that need immediate attention.
- Maintain personal skill levels and stays current with industry technologies and initiatives.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership; participates in extensive travel to all terminal maintenance facilities within a designated region as needed.
