Job Responsibilities: What you will do

Maximize the efficiency of designated body shop, trade shop, or trailer shop work force and ensure cost effective utilization of designated shop(s).

  • Manage designated shop for providing daily supervision of shop supervisors/lead persons/shop employees.
  • Monitor the purchasing of repair parts and ensures the repair of equipment is done in the most cost effective and efficient manner possible.
  • Responsible for parts inventories, receipts, and processing of purchase orders (POs) for payment of parts, outside labor, and repairs; responsible for local warranty claims and the warranty returns process.
  • Communicate truck availability status.
  • Interview and hire prospective shop employees; responsible for employee training and safety programs for designated shop and shop employees.
  • Lead accident estimates and bids; responsible for repair decisions made on equipment in the designated region.
  • Responsible for building and yard maintenance to ensure the shop is equipped adequately and safely.
  • Ensure designated shop meets all government regulations (state and federal E.P.A. OSHA).
  • Assist in the negotiations with local vendors for uniforms, trash, hazardous material disposal, chemical supplies, etc.
  • Proactively work to assist others in the organization's objectives.

Qualifications: What you need to bring

  • 5+ years of heavy truck wreck rebuilding
  • 5+ years trade truck experience, leadership experience preferred
  • Accounting and business leadership desired
  • Parts and tire experience helpful, experience in OSHA, EPA helpful, along with hiring and interviewing also helpful with experience in vendor negotiating a plus.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft suite including Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Must be proficient in computer keyboarding and 10-key experience preferred.


Pay Range: $82,750.00 - $104,250.00 Annual
