SuprTEK is looking for a professional, experience System Administrator to join out team! Individual will be responsible for resolving IT hardware and software infrastructure (servers, network, security, etc.) issues using systems analysis techniques and procedures to ensure appropriate function of hardware, software or system functional specifications.  Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve issues with IT infrastructure including user systems, servers, storage and network connectivity. Provides system administration for assigned infrastructure and establishes and maintains security as it relates to users. Applies security patches and operating system upgrades to ensure the security and integrity of the technical environment.  Supports new infrastructure projects.  Maintains all configuration documentation for assigned infrastructure.   

Responsibilities:    

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
• Experience with networking and switch configuration skills and experience applying STE/STN compliance requirements to servers and network devices.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
• Manage the daily activities of configuration and More operation of IT systems
• Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
• Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
• Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems
• Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets
• Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
• Configure and manage Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Qualifications:   

• Ten (10) years of System Administration experience in programs of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Very strong scripting skills (python and bash)
• Experience with ansible and writing playbooks
• AWS expertise
• Well versed with Kubernetes
• Experience in a Linux environment
• Configuration: Ansible/Puppet/Salt (required)
• Containerization: Docker or Kubernetes (highly desired)
• Monitoring: Nagios/Splunk (configuration of monitoring)
• Familiarity and experience with some of the tech stacks used by AEA Development teams:
• Load Balancing: HAproxy/httpd etc.
• Web Servers: Tomcat/Nginx/Java etc.
• Database: MongoDB/Postgres/MySQL etc.
• AWS certification (Cloud Architect or SysOps Administrator)

Preferred Qualifications:   

• Any Networking Certification
• Cisco Certified Technician Routing and Switching (CCT Routing and Switching) certification focuses on the skills required for onsite support and maintenance of Cisco routers, switches, and operating environment.
