Superlative Technologies, Inc. This position is geared to allow a technical candidate the ability to learn and grow their capture and business development skill sets under SE&D leadership mentoring and direction.

Job Description

SuprTEK is seeking a Capture Manager to lead a portfolio of opportunities from identification to post-submission. This role will support strategic development and growth of the SE&D LOB by working with Senior Leadership team to support Business Development activities through the creation of value propositions and strategic growth plans for SE&D.  This position requires a strategic mindset and proven ability to execute and manage multiple opportunities. The ideal Capture Manager must possess excellent interpersonal skills to work across Project Managers, the Leadership Team, the Contracts team, current and potential clients, and external partner firms. The Capture Manager must be able to analyze an opportunity and effectively communicate why the effort is in the company’s best interest to pursue or not.  The individual must continuously seek new opportunities for inclusion in the pipeline.  This individual must attend industry days, conferences, and represent SuprTEK in those client-facing settings and engagements.  Must work closely with SE&D to determine proposal needs and resource requirements.

The primary focus will be capture manager with secondary emphasis on Business Development (BD).  The successful candidate will be willing to grow into a BD role.

Key Responsibilities 

  • The Capture Manager leads the acquisition process effort for business opportunities of strategic importance within SE&D business unit.
  • Analyzes the draft RFP/SOW, develops, and implements the capture plan, and orchestrates all capture activities during the proposal phase and post-submittal activities.
  • Help develop tailored pursuit capture plans such as detailed stakeholder analyses and engagement plans, alignment with customers’ pain points and hot buttons. Help develop the solution, approach, and value proposition (to the customer and SuprTEK along with differentiators and win themes’ refinement. Help to provide competitive assessment with Price-to-Win analysis.
  • Defines capture team resource requirements and costs associated with bid and identifies and trains capture team members to ensure necessary support elements are available.
  • Assesses capabilities, strengths, and weaknesses and is responsible for the development of capture strategies and marketing philosophies. Interacts with broad range of departments (i.e., Operations, Human Resources, Finance, Contracts, etc.) to develop win and price strategies.
  • Prepares and presents recommendations (i.e., gate reviews) to senior management.
    • Prepare compliance / capabilities matrices and analysis reports as part of the capture process.
  • Collaborate with leadership to define and refine the SE&D line of business vision for growth and implement a strategy for execution


  • Knowledge of GSA schedules, various Agency contract vehicles
  • USTRANSCOM and component Command experience is strongly desired.
  • DOD Mission experience is strongly desired.
    •  Strong knowledge and understanding of the industry supporting the DoD IT and engineering sectors; 10+ years of DoD related experience.
  • Excellent technical analytical skills (problem-structuring, problem-solving) and able to handle complex analyses.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across a multi-stakeholder company.
  • Passionate, positive attitude with proven ability to motivate others to perform at their best.
  • Ability to work independently or function effectively as a member of a team. Ability to multitask, coordinate multiple proposals, and meet short timelines/deadlines.
  • Ability to remain adaptable to changing requirements and deadlines. Ability to work in a dynamic environment, balancing strategic and tactical responsibilities
  • Outstanding flexibility, adaptability, and sense of accountability; team-oriented with a continuous improvement outlook.
  • Capture manager needs to have a working understanding of the SDLC, in particular Agile Scrum Development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information/Engineering/Science, or comparable experience desired. 


  • Requires US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance. An active security clearance is strongly desired.


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; including Word, PPT, Outlook, and Excel; proficiency in desktop publishing and CRM software
