The Opportunity!

As an In-Flight Security Agent, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and secure transportation of passengers requiring escort due to previous unruly behaviour, inadmissibility to a foreign country or those that have been deported. You will be responsible for the preservation of Company goals, ethics, and reputation.

What You’ll Do:

  • As required escort passengers who have been deemed inadmissible to a foreign country or those deported from a foreign country.
  • As required escort passengers who have been investigated for unruly behavior from the destination country back to Canada to ensure the security and safety of the return flight.
  • While in transit assist flight crews with any on board issues as required in order to ensure a secure and safe flight for all passengers and crew. This may include enforcing any of the Air Carrier Regulations.
  • Maintain complete and accurate notes, including duty times and flight details, escort passenger information and any relevant information while on duty.

 What You’ll Need:

  • High School Education or equivalent
  • Comprehensive law enforcement, private security or military experience
  • Law enforcement training or related discipline an asset
  • Completion of training in Non-violent Crisis Intervention an asset
  • Bilingual in English and French or Spanish an asset
  • Possession of a current Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) preferred, or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and active listening skills
  • Sound understanding of criminal laws, civil law, labor law, aviation industry security regulations, aviation legislative laws & regulations and internal company policies, strategies and goals
  • Sound understanding of foreign laws and regulations relative to conducting Airline operations worldwide
  • Understanding of threats and risks that exist relative to civil aviation around the globe
  • Successful completion of the required training
