Janitor
Description
Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for a full-time Janitor who will be working in our Lewis Run, PA location. This person will report to the Production Supervisor.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean front offices, the production floor, lunchroom, employee entrance, main lobby, bathrooms and quality lab areas
- Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
- Gather and empty trash
- Service, clean, disinfect, and supply restrooms
- Clean, dust and polish furniture, fixtures and walls
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees
- Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications
- Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors, fixtures and building
- Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created
- Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning duties
- Spray insecticides and fumigants to prevent insect and rodent infestation
- Pick up litter inside and out
- Complete daily routine checklist
Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED required
Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, competencies and location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation and benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
