DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Oversee all sorting/rework activities daily to ensure smooth operation working with CCSC1 QA team/Delivery/Warehouse operation team. Tasks include the completion of sorts/reworks for responsible products, participate in QA  meetings to implement and provide activity status, ensure ISO/IATF documentation are completed as necessary for all QA related activities performed at warehouse and support to either report out or put report for non-conforming products found to improve product quality.
  • Oversee warehouse operations for reported abnormal conditions such as damaged shipment, wet containers received, warehouse reported accidents to products by working with SEWS QA Engineers, Logistics, 3PL and Delivery team to ensure no impact to customer shipment and quarantine confirmed defective parts to be dispositioned accordingly.
  • Monitor and update sorting/time sheet log working with QA lead hands for all QA warehouse activities to assist with monthly cost summary working with QA team. Target is to submit to accounting department to retrieve/balance SEWS Canada QA budget.
  • Monitor to track suspect materials and certified material reported by plant side along with design changes implemented. Work with SEWS Canada QA/DE engineers and support delivery/logistics with container delays/design FIFO concerns reported to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
  • Support SEWS Canada QA engineers with project documentation completion when required and support to inspect prototype trial parts to ensure that quality and parts meet the drawing spec when required. Support PFS working with SEWS Canada QA/DE/LP members to report out to MFG plants for quality/workability improvements.
  • Assist CCSC2 QA department with inventory control for the CCSC2 QA area with material quarantined with appropriate signs applied, Arrange QA related shipments for UPS/FedEx or Return Parts to manufacturing plants to ensure no defect flow out to customer and inventory loss for CCSC2 QA area. Retrieve and log incoming products for QA team when reported by 3PL.
  • Assist to ensure that Safety protocols in warehouse are followed within warehouse and ensuring temporary associates are also following all rules. Support to establish safety work standards and implementation of safety related items as required
  • Other duties as assigned to support CCSC1 requirements to support MBU and SEWS Canada business overall.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED and Technical Certificate in engineering field.
  • 0-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a quality assurance capacity
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills in order to effectively interact with customer and other internal/external operations
  • Skilled in the use of desktop applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Skilled in the area of task management and organization
  • Must be able to read WH drawings schematic, use measurement tools and record data, create go-no go gauges for QA inspection activity, lift up to 35 lbs., stand and walk 8 to 10 hours per day, work overtime with short notice during week and possible weekends, operate pump jacks, support remotely to assist 3PL team during off hours not in warehouse related to quarantined parts by QA team to minimize operation impact, maintain a valid driver's license and work with minimum supervision.
