Description

• Test and conduct analysis of water electrolysis cells.
• Material evaluation tests such as membranes and catalysts.
• Conduct a simulation of the hydrogen plant system.
• Conduct market research on water electrolyzers in Europe and the United States.
• May be asked to assist other team members with similar or other projects.

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university seeking a BS degree in industrial engineering, electrical or electronic engineering, or material science.  
• Intermediate level of knowledge of electrochemistry.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Good attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.

• If you've ever wondered what it's like to work in Japan, then the 10 or 12-week Sumitomo Electric Global Internship Program could be the ideal opportunity for you. Look into gaining practical work experience at the R&D labs or corporate headquarters of Sumitomo Electric Industries. This year's program will run from May 12 to August 1, with internships located in the Osaka and Yokohama areas. University students from all countries are welcome to apply.
• Included in our internships: Round-trip airfare from the country of your university to Japan, accommodations and meals, commuter rail pass, travel insurance, and a modest weekly stipend to assist with living expenses while in Japan. Please note that this is not a paid internship. Modifications to the start/end dates of the internship will be considered on a case-by-case basis. At the completion of the program, full-time opportunities in some positions may be available.
