Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a world leader in manufacturing of powdered metal parts, has an immediate opening for a Director of HR at our Corporate Headquarters located in St. Marys, PA.
 
Position Overview:
As the Director of HR, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing our people strategies. You will lead a dedicated team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for driving initiatives that enhance employee engagement, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
 
Job Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Provide oversite to the HR Departments at our St. Marys, Lewis Run, Cherryville, and Troutman facilities
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, talent development, and retention efforts to attract and retain top talent
  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational objectives, fostering a culture of high performance and compliance
  • Lead performance evaluation processes, coaching managers on effective feedback and performance improvement strategies
  • Negotiation and administration of Union Labor agreement, resolve employee grievances, and provide counseling to employees for conflict resolution
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment-related matters
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skillset
  • Ensure legal compliance to all state and federal HR requirements
  • Drive initiatives to promote a positive work culture, employee engagement, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts.
  • Manage departmental budgets effectively, allocating resources to support strategic initiatives and operational needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Legal, and Finance, to achieve organizational goals and drive continuous improvement
 
Desired Skills and Experience 
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience
Strong understanding of employment laws, regulations, and best practices
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Prior Union Labor Relations experience
Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is a plus
