POSITION TITLE: Maintenance Technician
SHIFT: B Shift
LOCATION: FR
SECTION OR DEPT: SEWS Components Division – Tooling Mold Maintenance
REPORTS TO: David Duncan
BASIC POSITION DUTIES:
Position will assemble/disassemble molds following applicable work instructions and blueprints; perform overhauls (preventative maintenance); parts fitting, shape mold components in accordance with training guidelines and understand parts mating position and function. Measure dimensions using appropriate measuring devices. Perform troubleshooting and utilize surface grinders, hand tools and or welding equipment.
- Assemble/disassemble molds following applicable work instructions and blueprints.
- Perform Overhauls (Preventative Maintenance); Parts fitting and shape mold components in accordance with training guidelines and understand parts mating, position, and function.
- Perform quality assurance checks on all fabricated tooling.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Prepare required documentation (i.e. tooling work orders, quality inspection reports, etc.).
- Ensure proper verbal/written communication with other departments in regard to mold activities.
- Perform all job duties per OSHA guidelines, safety rules, and housekeeping requirements and ensure other maintenance associates follow the proper guidelines, rules, and requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Two-year Machine Tool Technology degree/Maintenance degree, 1-3 years on the job experience with injection mold maintenance. Must possess fine motor skills for handling delicate components and be able to perform frequent pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying; must possess excellent oral & written communications skills. Must be willing to learn and be able to work at a fast pace.
