Bachelors degree in Accountancy. Finance. or a related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required. Non-PA can be considered depending on relevant experience
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in Finance, Accounting, Audit or Tax, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior role
  • Experience working in a multinational or Japanese company environment is a strong advantage
  • Preferably with prior exposure to external or internal audit.
  • knowledgeable in generally accepted accounting principles also known as Philippine Accounting Standards (PAS)
  • Knowledgeable in PEZA policies and procedures affecting the accounting operation of a manufacturing business operations
  • Knowledgeable in BIR rules and regulations governing manufacturing business operations
Key Functions and Responsibilities
Supervision and Team Leadership:
  • Leads, coaches, and trains junior finance staff (finance assistants, officers).
  • Oversees daily workflow, sets performance objectives, and conducts appraisals.
  • Fosters a productive, compliant, and professional team environment.
Financial Reporting and Accounting Operations:
  • Ensures accurate recording of financial transactions in ERP/accounting systems.
  • Manages month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Oversees accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), cash flow management, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepares and presents financial reports to management and stakeholders.
Compliance and Internal Control:
  • Ensures all financial transactions comply with organizational policies, donor regulations, and GAAP/IFRS standards.
  • Establishes and monitors internal control procedures to safeguard assets.
  • Coordinates with internal and external auditors to provide necessary documentation.
Budgeting and Analysis:
  • Reviews budget vs. actuals (BvA) and assists in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Analyzes financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Provides financial advice to departments and non-finance staff.
General Operations:
  • Oversees treasury functions, including cash management and foreign currency exchanges.
  • Maintains document management and records retention policies.
  • Often serves as a backup to the Finance Manager.
