Corporal of Corrections
A candidate for this position should be a high school graduate or equivalent. The incumbent should have up to two (2) years’ experience in Corrections and/or Law Enforcement. An Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice could substitute for one year of experience.
A candidate must acquire knowledge of facility rules and regulations, can use computers, manage difficult people, stress, and be able to listen and communicate effectively. A candidate should possess a valid driver’s license and be able to attain certification from the New Hampshire Association of Counties Correctional Academy. A candidate for this position must also pass a written and physical examination, pass a drug screen, not have a prior criminal record, and meet the physical and mental capacity requirements established for this class of position by the NH Retirement System.Salary: $18.76 – $25.33
