STV is seeking a Traffic Engineering Specialist for our Transportation and Infrastructure division in our Baltimore MD office.  Our office is easily accessible with free on-site parking. We have a thriving practice with a close-knit, team oriented group that is growing rapidly.  Due to our success, we need to continue to add resources to assist with the delivery of our current extensive backlog of work for a variety of projects. 


Under direction of a Project Manager or Team Leader, as well as utilizing independent judgment, performs day-to-day project work producing technical deliverables for traffic and transportation engineering projects.  Primary responsibilities include the development of traffic control device design plans, including maintenance of traffic, traffic signal, signing, pavement marking, lighting and ITS plans. The position requires the ability to create high quality CADD drawings, primarily using MicroStation.  Ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as a high level of attention to detail.  Additional responsibilities may include performing field duties outside of the office in support of projects, including traffic data collection and field verifications of existing and proposed traffic control device installations.  Excellent potential for career advancement. 


Job requirements

BS Civil Engineering required.

EIT certification preferred

Relevant Internship experience is strongly preferred

Working knowledge of relevant software packages including, Microstation, and AutoCAD also a plus, as well as Microsoft Word and Excel. 

Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.  

 Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
