We have an exciting opportunity for a Value Engineering Manager leading and directing teams in Value Engineering assignments based out of our New York, NY office.

The Value Engineering Manager will be responsible for the oversight, management, performance of Value Engineering assignments.  The Value Engineering Manager will organize, facilitating and delivering Value Engineering Analysis and Reports. The position requires the following:

  • Certified Value Specialist (CVS)
  • Preparation of Value Engineering Job Plan
  • Ability to perform Value Engineering Risk Assessment
  • Prepare and/or analyze cost and schedule savings
  • Facilitation of Value Engineering Workshops
  • Working knowledge of all phases of execution from planning/ programming, design, procurement, construction and close-out.  
  • Working knowledge of all elements of cost management including funds management, budget control, change management, forecasting and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of schedule, risk and document management
  • Development of Value Engineering Reports

The Value Engineering Manager will be responsible for the development of a value engineering plan and organizing, facilitating value engineering workshops and present/deliver the final VE recommendations in the form of a final VE report.  This position required in depth knowledge of engineering and/or architecture within the Transportation, Infrastructure and Buildings Markets.  The VE Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the Value Engineering process from information gathering, functional analysis to final issuance of a VE report.  The position may require business travel within the United States.  Preferred knowledge and experience in cost engineering, estimating, schedule and risk management desired.

Must have a minimum of 15 years of experience in Value Engineering

Required Skills:

  • The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architecture
  • Must have a minimum of 15 years of experience in Value Engineering
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Works independently
