What you will do
As an Associate Software Engineer at Studio Graphene, you'll work across verticals - backend, frontend, or cloud/DevOps, depending on where your strengths and interests lie. You'll be part of a team building modern, scalable web and mobile applications with an AI-native development approach, meaning you'll use AI tools and techniques as a core part of how you write, review, and ship code. This role is designed for sharp, curious graduates who want to become well-rounded engineers rather than siloed specialists.
You'll collaborate with senior engineers on real projects from day one, designing APIs, building user-facing features, setting up cloud infrastructure, or all three. The common thread is that you'll be solving meaningful problems, learning fast, and developing the judgment to pick the right tool for the job.
Requirements
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
Solid fundamentals in at least one area: backend (Node JS, Python, or similar), frontend (React, Next JS, or similar), or cloud/DevOps (AWS, Azure, Docker, CI/CD).
Database Management: Understanding relational databases (e.g. MySQL or PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB).
Basic understanding of RESTful API design.
Willingness and ability to work across the stack, you don't need to know everything, but you should be excited to learn.
Version Control: Basic knowledge of version control systems like Git.
Exposure to or genuine curiosity about AI-assisted development, using tools like Copilot, Claude, or similar, to accelerate your work.
Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills, you can explain what you built and why.
Team Player: Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Technology: Passionate about learning emerging technologies and trends, with an ability to suggest innovative solutions.
Cloud Services: Basic understanding of cloud services (e.g. AWS or Azure) is an advantage.
Nice to have
Experience with containerization (Docker) or basic cloud infrastructure.
Familiarity with prompt engineering or building features that integrate LLMs/AI APIs.
Contributions to open-source projects or a portfolio of personal projects.

Location:
Gurgaon (This is a work-from-office role, 5 days a week)
Service Agreement:
As part of this position, you will be required to sign a two-year service agreement.
