National Sales Manager - Poland

Job Description

 

As National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the sales, profit and activities in the gaming consumer channel in Poland. You will have full responsibility for the market, across all available products in the portfolio, which also includes pricing and negotiation with 5-8 key partners, planning of and following up on sales campaigns and activities in the channel.

You will engage in continuous planning with partners in the channel i.e. with regards to new products and releases, events and ongoing seasonal sales campaigns. It is an important task to constantly be on top of sales activities and analyze efforts up against goals to ensure that profit expectations are met. You must take ownership of the market.

 

Core responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and implement sales strategies/plans to achieve sales and profit according to the targets for Poland.
  • Work closely with Regional Director - Eastern Europe in developing and executing against a clear channel strategy.
  • Build strong, precise and ambitious account plans with all defined “Key Accounts”, always with the focus on driving the accounts in line with SteelSeries strategies of building a healthy and sell-out driven business, growing in-house share with key customers.
  • Implement and drive 3-6 month rolling promotional sales and marketing activity plans with all Key Accounts in Poland.
  • Conduct product trainings with key staff at Key Accounts, ensuring that SteelSeries remains the top of their minds.
  • Build strong relationships with channel partners (retailers, E-tailers and distribution).
  • Analyze and forecast sales for Poland incl. accurate forecasts of projected sales and growth covering monthly, quarterly, and yearly numbers to ensure sales and profit goals are meet.
  • Stay up to date with competitive activity and organize sales response to market changes.
  • Develop a strong relationship with the Marketing Team in both Poland and EMEA Services hub to ensure the coordination and implementation of local/regional marketing activities.
  • Ensure marketing support for local/regional execution of product marketing activities and local brand and marketing activities.
  • Provide market feedback on trends, opportunities, products, sales and other relevant developments.
  • Ability to work extended hours as business needs dictate and availability to travel 50% of your time to regularly meet with key accounts, sales teams, other important stakeholders and to attend key tradeshows, fairs and events (mainly domestic travel but also 1-2 trips monthly to Copenhagen)
  • Improve the understanding of the customers' needs in Poland and bring this knowledge to headquarters (management)
  • Participate in EMEA management meetings, substituting Regional Director - Eastern Europe whenever this is required.
  • The work consists of primarily tactical and operational responsibilities within channel management. However, you are expected to possess the strategic understanding of your market and how to develop it, also by having relevant account strategies in place.
  • Administrative responsibilities to ensure achievement of sales revenue targets and high levels of customer satisfaction

 

 

Qualifications and Skill Requirements

 

  • Minimum 4-7 years’ proven experience from a similar role within Consumer Electronics (or Gaming).
  • In depth proven understanding of P&L Management with focus on driving profitable growth.
  • The candidate needs to have demonstrated profound experience in sales & trade marketing and proven understanding of the Consumer Gaming/Consumer Electronics channel in Poland
  • Ability to use MS Excel on an intermediate level or higher
  • Understanding and ability to implement premium brand positioning across all sales channels
  • Hands on experience with ecommerce platforms and the digital marketing will be a major advantage.
  • A passion for Esports and gaming is a plus
  • English and Polish spoken and written fluently
