ABOUT YOU: You love community management, you love streaming and creating content, and most importantly, you love people. You’re up to date on all relevant community and social media platforms. You understand streaming and brand media culture. You’re passionate about providing value to communities with different activations and interactions. You’re a natural at one-on-one communication as well as comfortable with talking to hundreds/thousands of people at a time. You’re detail-oriented and have a knack for writing clever and fun messaging in the voice of a brand in the consumer electronics and gaming space.

NECESSARY SKILLS:

  • Community Management basics and in-depth knowledge of the following channels: Discord, Reddit, Twitch, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook
  • Live streaming experience and in-depth knowledge of how to operate a live stream from start to finish
  • General marketing experience, specifically: copywriting, content calendar creation,
  • Confidence in owning the relationships and community activations between SteelSeries and game publishers and endemic/non-endemic brands we partner with
  • Ability to gather qualitative and quantitative data from large community feedback pools and derive valuable information and present it in an impactful way to help make future decisions within the company regarding brand, product, and content initiatives
  • Customer-support experience a plus 

WITHIN 1 MONTH YOU WILL:

  • Have familiarity with all internal and external community channels where we interact Have been introduced to and started conversations with our Mod Team, who help us with Twitch, Discord, Reddit, etc.
  • Have created a content calendar for our live streaming efforts
  • Create forward-facing content on the global SteelSeries social media accounts including but not limited to TikTok, Twitch, Twitter, Instagram
  • Have been introduced to and started working with our partners on community events (i.e. games giveaways, sponsored streams, etc.) 

WITHIN 3 MONTHS YOU WILL:

  • Be streaming regularly from the SteelSeries Twitch account
  • Interacting with our regional marketing teams in Asia, Europe, and emerging markets to strategize with them on region-specific live streaming and community efforts
  • Managing internal expectations and marketing strategies around live streaming and community initiatives for every product launch and partnership
  • Be working across teams (product, influencers and esports, etc.) on how we can integrate live streaming and community activations with their efforts 

WITHIN 9 MONTHS YOU WILL:

  • Be streaming multiple times a week from the SteelSeries Twitch account
  • Work regularly with our regional teams on their live streaming and community efforts
  • Own all relationships and comms with our community moderators (“Mod Team”)
  • Develop unique and engaging live streaming and community activations for each campaign and internal activation
  • Own and updating the stream calendar
  • Lead relations and communication with our customer support team on what our community is talking about from day-to-day, week-to-week, etc.
