Customer Care Representative     
        
The Star Furniture Customer Care Advocate is an empathetic, professional, and friendly individual who has a passion for serving others and a desire to cater to the needs of Star’s customers. The advocate will deliver a compassionate driven experience for our customer’s by always remembering that there is a real person on the other end of the phone who needs help. You should be enthusiastic about providing a superior customer service experience; and excited about being an integral player in Star’s mission to deliver the best customer service experience in the home furnishing industry.

  • Empathetic with a desire to go beyond to help resolve customer issues at the first point of contact.
  • A customer advocate ready to listen to address and resolve customers questions, issues, or concerns.
  • A composed individual able to multi-task, navigating multiple computer applications and working efficiently while communicating and serving the customer.
  • Must have a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility to your teammates and our customers, demonstrated by the simplest things like being on time and available to meet customer’s needs, to being accountable for commitments made to customers or others and ensuring follow-ups, if needed, are completed.
  • Flexible and adaptive learner, willing to adapt to changing customer and business needs.
  • Calm and professional communication style with the ability to manage high-stress situations.
  • Must be self-motivated with good organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Aptness for problem solving.
  • Willingness to be a collaborator and enjoy working in a group towards common goals and work in a fast-paced environment.       
Responsibilities and Skills:        
  • Provide friendly and compassionate interactions with customers consistent with Star’s policies, procedures, and high-quality standards.
  • Capture detailed information from the customer to manage and resolve their issue.
  • Finding the right response and strategy to solve customer issues as quickly as possible.
  • Partnering with other departments to find solutions to customer needs.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining professional customer support.
  • Product knowledge to communicate with the customer in an informative and valuable way.       
 Experience & Skills:        
  • Customer service experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic understanding of office and computer systems/software      
Physical Requirements: The physical requirements described here are necessary to perform the essential functions of this job. The employee frequently is required to sit in an 8/hour workday and regularly use hands and fingers.
