Reporting to the Senior Compensation and Benefits Analyst, the Benefits Coordinator will provide secondary administrative support to the benefits and HR Operations teams and act as a contact for staff across the firm’s U.S. domestic offices. Working closely with members of Human Resources, Accounting, and outside vendors, this role will work on various HR matters including but not limited to: benefits, HRIS, immigration, and HR operations.
Who we are looking for:
- Administer various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits.
- Conduct benefits orientations and explain benefits to the self-enrollment system.
- Assist employees with health, dental, life and other related benefit claims.
- Verify the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies and maintain statistical data relative to premiums, claims and costs. Resolve administrative problems with the carrier representatives.
- Administer COBRA.
- Assist Total Rewards team in obtaining statistics and information in the renewal process of any health, life and retirement plans that benefit the company.
- Prepare and set up meetings designed to help employees obtain information and understand company benefits and other related incentive programs. Ensure distribution of required employee notices.
- Prepare and maintain census reporting and other requested reports as needed.
- Assist Total Rewards team in completing benefits reporting requirements.
- Serve as contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators.
- Coordinate transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums and plan administration.
- Oversee maintenance of employee benefits files and updates to internal systems as required
- Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need to have:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- High school diploma or GED and two years of experience in employee benefits administration.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP and CEBS professional designations preferred.
- 1-2 years knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient with G-Suite.
- Ideal candidates will be located in the Pacific Time Zone.
