Technical Advisor


SRC, Inc. is seeking a technical advisor to provide subject matter expertise related to Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Spectrum Warfare Division (RYW). This role will coordinate with division leadership to support business growth, provide guidance to project leadership, and advise on the execution of technical activities to meet customer objectives. A Top-Secret clearance will be required for on-site customer engagements and collaboration with project teams. Some travel will be necessary. 

What You'll Do 

  • Support business development activities, including strategy development, managing customer relationships, and identification of new opportunities
  • Provide inputs to roadmaps, white papers, and proposals
  • Advise project management on planning, processes and procedures, best practices, required resources, Government regulations and security mandates, and risks and mitigations
  • Make recommendations on ways to improve team effectiveness and ensure satisfaction with stakeholders
  • Participate in and lead customer engagements
  • Support customer activities including reviewing technical data, reviewing schedules, preparing technical evaluations, and reviewing contract documents and operator training materials
  • Contribute to and review test plans, reports, and supporting data and support test teams for laboratory, ground, and open-air flight test events
  • Analyze trends in signal processing, communication, radar, electronic warfare (EW), and related technologies and provide recommendations on methods to improve EW system assessments
  • Participate in or conduct meetings, design reviews, and working groups
  • Travel up to 10% to attend government and industry trade shows, conferences, symposiums, meetings, etc
  • Provide inputs on contract deliverables

What You'll Bring 

  • Must have at least 10 years of experience with the AFRL Spectrum Warfare Division (RYW) performing work applicable to the job duties
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or other science or technical degree; additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Must be able to leverage expertise in current and emerging electronic warfare technologies and threats to inform assessment designs and strategies
  • Experience in modern approaches for the design, analysis, and test of EW, radar, and communications systems, including digital engineering, model-based systems engineering (MBSE), modeling and simulation, open system architectures, and agile development
  • Familiarity with common threat intelligence databases, such as EWIRDB, MIDB, and CED, and methods for leveraging intelligence for EW system evaluations
  • Advanced knowledge of Live, Virtual, Constructive simulation architectures and infrastructure
  • US citizenship and active Top-Secret security clearance is required
  • Must be able to attain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access
