Technical Program Manager
- Program Management
- Direct program execution by overseeing the planning, execution, and monitoring of contract deliverables; establish performance metrics, track key milestones, and manage risks to ensure program objectives are met and ensure successful implementation and delivery
- Serve as the main point of contact for the Contracting Officer (CO), the Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative (COTR), the Government Program Manager, and the Contractor’s senior management team
- Provide regular briefings, reports, and recommendations to senior leadership on program status and challenges
- Identify opportunities for innovation, automation, and process optimization within program operations
- Review technical reports and analyses performed by others
- Lead the development of new assessment methodology and models for our customers
- Interact closely with other SRC scientists and customers
- Prepare major proposals and make presentations to both existing and potential customers, showcasing the capabilities and advantages of the program.
- Oversee the training and development of team members, ensuring their continued growth and success
- Technical
- Perform chemical hazard characterizations and toxicological assessments
- Review and interpret scientific studies and integrate the available evidence from multiple data streams
- Critically evaluate the reliability of scientific data
- Work with the software team to enable new scientific capabilities in decision support tools
- Bachelor’s degree in toxicology (DABT certification preferred) or related discipline such as chemistry or biology with 10+ years of proven experience in toxicology OR a Master’s and 8+ years of relevant experience
- 3+ years of program management experience
- Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment
- Strong technical writing and quantitative skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, through both written and verbal communication, and work closely with others as part of a project team
- Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: CBRNE software development, modeling and simulation, algorithm development, scientific user interfaces, CBRN property prediction, regulatory toxicology, mixtures risk assessment, epidemiology, pharmacokinetics/PBPK modeling, adverse outcome pathways (AOPs), in-vitro to in vivo extrapolation (IVIVE), systematic review, or new approach methods (NAMs)

- Active security clearance preferred
- Familiarity with Software Development Processes and Tools
- Proven experience as a program manager or in a similar senior-level program management position
- Professional PM Certification
- Exceptional program management skills with a successful track record of delivering complex programs on time and within budget
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders
- In-depth experience in the defense industry, specifically in the development and deployment of systems to counter Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRNE) threats
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Knowledge or experience in one or more of the following disciplines is a plus:
- Chemical property estimation techniques
- Quantitative Structure Property Relationships (QSPRs)
- CBRN Modeling and Simulation and Hazard Prediction

Total compensation for this role is market competitive. The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Washington, DC is estimated at $122,000 to $168,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location as well as other business and organizational needs.
