Continuous Improvement Specialist

SRC, Inc. is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist.


  • Plan, perform, and implement continual improvement initiatives that include Lean and Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC< DFSS, Kaizen, FMEA, etc)
  • Develop and provide metrics to measure process quality and productivity, providing meaningful feedback to deliver positive business and customer outcomes
  • Facilitates continual improvement initiatives/projects and accountable for tracking and reporting progress
  • Calculate cost reductions and/or various analyses to determine optimal method
  • Manage cross-functional project teams, planning and organizing, and executing complex projects across multiple organizations and stakeholders to enable the launch of projects and processes
  • Apply change management and communication techniques to ensure effective organizational changes
  • Train, coach, and mentor at all levels of the organization on how and when to use Lean methodologies/tools
  • Formal root-cause analysis and process mapping for new process development
  • Drive standard work across teams to incite efficiency and high-quality execution/delivery
  • Build strong partnerships with leaders to understand improvement opportunities
  • Bachelor’s degree with three or more (3+) years' experience in Lean/Operations, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Candidate must have experience in identifying areas of improvement and planning for and leading lean initiatives
  • Hands-on; Lean/Six Sigma implementation experience managing key projects with various cross-functional teams
  • Hands-on; experience running Kaizen events
  • Must be self-motivated, a self-starter, and able to keep track of multiple activities at any given time
  • Strong communication skills, especially in translating direct feedback from customers and stakeholders into business process improvement opportunities
  • Thorough understanding and application of the principles and techniques of Lean including, but not limited to VSM, voice of the customer, kaizen leadership, 1-piece flow, and 5
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio are essential for success in this position
