Principal Systems Test Engineer

SRCTec LLC, is seeking a Principal Systems Test Engineer. As a Principal Systems Test Engineer, you will play an integral role in the production, test, and sustainment for radar, CUAS, and electronic warfare systems as part of Advanced Manufacturing. You will work closely with experienced engineers and guide junior engineers to develop and sustain accurate, repeatable, and stable manufacturing test capabilities. You will collaborate with diverse, cross-functional teams of hardware, software, and manufacturing, and product engineers and stay at the cutting-edge of electronics manufacturing.

What You’ll Do

  • Design test strategies, test architectures, and test plans that ensure repeatability and robustness, driven from, and in alignment with, system requirements
  • Leverage strong proficiency in statistical analysis and data modeling to interpret test results, identify root causes, quantify variation, and validate performance margins. This includes familiarity with DOE, regression, multivariate analysis, and statistical process control
  • Use capability in measurement system analysis (MSA), including GR&R, calibration strategy, uncertainty quantification, and sensor/instrument selection to maximize test coverage and performance
  • Interpret specification flow-downs and trace system performance requirements to measurable, testable parameters for manufacturing tests, including a translation of how subsystem behavior, component tolerances, and environmental factors influence end‑to‑end system performance
  • Develop system and subsystem test procedures while ensuring subsystem test coverage minimizes system level failures
  • Evaluate trade studies, system architectures, algorithms, system requirements, and design specifications to improve product and process accuracy, repeatability, and yield
  • Troubleshoot system‑level issues using advanced root‑cause analysis techniques; drive corrective actions across engineering and manufacturing teams
  • Perform system simulations, modeling, and data analysis (via MATLAB and/or Python) to identify product and process improvement opportunities
  • Develop production test software using NI LabVIEW, TestStand, and Python
  • Maintain knowledge of and proficiency with the latest systems engineering technologies and tools
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their growth and development in production systems engineering

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical field; Master's degree preferred
  • 12+ years of experience in system-level testing, integration, and/or verification within aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries
  • Deep understanding of systems engineering principles and a corresponding ability to develop test strategies for complex RF products
  • Hands-on experience with automated test systems, data analysis, system debug, and performance optimization
  • Familiarity with model-based systems engineering, digital threads, and digital test environments
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Some travel (<10%) may be required to provide support for field tests, demonstrations, and customer meetings
