Senior Firmware Engineer


SRC, Inc. is currently seeking Senior FW Engineers to support full-lifecycle execution of programs and internal investment work with our electronic warfare (EW) Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) business area. Because of the diverse nature of our work, we can accommodate team members with varying technical backgrounds. Your responsibilities will include supporting the development of advanced EW software applications in both factory and field environments. This position can be based out of any of our offices, working closely with our Systems Engineering teams in Syracuse, NY, Dayton, OH, and international offices.

Responsibilities:

  • Design firmware for field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs)
  • Program microcontrollers in C/C++
  • Use scripting languages such as Python to automate tasks
  • Design and testing of custom high-speed circuit boards
  • Analyze collected data in software tools such as MATLAB
  • Participate in team-based environments for large systems
  • Perform integration and testing of new designs
  • Provide engineering support for production programs

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related degree with ten (10) or more years of relevant experience
  • Experience with FPGAs and/or microcontrollers
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership skills in daily activities
  • 10 percent travel may be required

Preferred Skills

  • EW domain knowledge including understanding of radar, antenna design/analysis, radar signal processing and radar requirements analysis
  • Experience with digital engineering/digital twins
