Material Handling Shipping Associate


SRCTec, LLC is currently seeking a Material Handling Shipping Associate. The selected candidate will be responsible for packaging, shipping, and transacting all ship in place and outbound shipments as well as supporting receiving, shuttle, and the stock room when needed.   

What You’ll Do  

  • Process all shipping paperwork accurately, efficiently, and carry out all shipping transactions in a timely manner   

  • Perform packaging operations using established procedures and appropriate packaging materials  

  • Work in accordance with all internal policies and external regulatory requirements necessary to ensure the safe and proper movement of material   

  • Resolve routine and nonroutine shipping requests by utilizing the appropriate technical team resources, best practices, and problem solving tactics   

  • Read and interpret government requirements from the DoD as it pertains to shipping guidelines  

  • Maintain inventory of shipping materials, shipping records, and all other duties as assigned   

  • Carry out any other duties within the stockroom/warehouse and receiving as required   

What You’ll Bring  

  • Education: High School diploma with 6+ years related experience   

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics   

  • Ability to life 50lbs or more with or without reasonable accommodations   

  • Ability to prioritize and reorganize workload accordingly to meet customer delivery dates   

  • Must successfully complete forklift safety training, ESD training, HazMat, and ISO awareness training   

  • Knowledge of government transportation standards, clauses, and paperwork   

  • Knowledge of how to prepare shipments prior to DCMA inspection   

  • Must be computer literate (MS office, word, excel, etc.)   

  • Must have good communication skills and be a team player  

  • Occasional overtime work required on evenings, weekends, and holidays   

  • Must be a U.S. citizen

  • Experience with international shipping regulations   

  • Experience shipping dangerous goods   

  • Experience with Deltek/Costpoint   

  • Experience with military shipping label and packaging requirements and RFID functionality

Total compensation for this role is market competitive. The anticipated range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $24 to $28/hour. The hourly rate will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location as well as other business and organizational needs.
