Lead Manufacturing Engineer – Advanced Manufacturing Engineering


As a Lead Manufacturing Engineer in the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering group at SRCTec LLC, you will play an integral role in the development and implementation of production capabilities for radar, CUAS, and electronic warfare systems. You will collaborate with experienced engineers at both SRC and SRCTec to ensure new products are developed with high levels of producibility and be part of a cross-functional team that executes in a gated product development environment (PdMP). You will join forces with the SRCTec engineering, quality, and production teams to stay at the cutting-edge of electronics manufacturing.  

What You’ll Do   

  • Partner with R&D mechanical and HW design teams during the early development phase to ensure that products are designed with high levels of producibility  

  • Utilize standardized DfX tools in conjunction with cross-functional teams to identify and recommend manufacturability and testability enhancements  

  • Execute PFMEA analyses on proposed designs and manufacturing processes to recognize and mitigate both design and manufacturing risk  

  • Decompose product requirements and demand to define the necessary production line capabilities  

  • Assist with the creation of production tools, fixtures, and equipment during transition to manufacturing  

  • Participate in design reviews and represent manufacturing interests with respect to production requirements  

  • Provide manufacturing estimates for new production development and deployment efforts  

  • Investigate new equipment and processes as required to “redefine possible” on the factory floor  

  • Maintain awareness and proficiency of industry and company technology developments 

What You’ll Bring  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline  

  • 6+ Years of related manufacturing and production process experience, including new product development  

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with excellent written and verbal communication skills  

  • Familiarity with the assembly and test of complex, RF-based military products  

  • Strong capabilities using CAD Software (SolidWorks preferred)  

  • Experience with Lean manufacturing development tools (DfX, PFMEA, VSM, poka-yoke)   

  • Exposure to MRP software tools and configuration management  

  • Must be a U.S. citizen

Total compensation for this role is market competitive. The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $97,000 to $113,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location as well as other business and organizational needs.
