Data Research Professional


SRC, Inc. is seeking an all-source research and data management professional to support our local intelligence customer. This position entails performing in-depth research on a wide-range of technical subjects, and assisting the SRC Data Manager in the preparation and transfer of information across various networks and physical locations. Military occupational specialties well suited for this position are Navy Yeoman (YN), Air Force 1NOX1, and Army 35T and 3D0’s.  Responsibilities:  

  • Review documentation for correct formatting and classification markings 
  • Assist Data Manager with cross-domain transfer activities to include metadata sanitization 
  • Perform all-source and open-source research to uncover new information and address data gaps
  • Maintain strict adherence to best practices and operational security while performing duties

 Position Requirements:   

  • TS/SCI security clearance 
  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of related intelligence community experience
  • Outstanding attention to detail  
  • An understanding of current security classification guides, directives, and regulations
  • Ability to address data gaps and verify or refute information through independent research
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to interface with the customer on a daily basis
  • Excellent reading comprehension skills and the ability to quickly identify and extract key information
  • Fundamental computer and search engine skills to include operating with Boolean logic
  • Experience with MS Office and Adobe software tools

 Desired Skills/Qualifications: 

  • Proficiency with software applications and databases used in support of research to include NGT, TAC, RMT, MEPED, MIDB, CHROME, HARMONY, and HOT-R  
  • Experience uncovering information in commercial databases, technical journals, and patents
  • Reverse image and video search proficiency
  • Language translation software proficiency
