One of the primary responsibilities is helping to build and support next-generation digital experiences for our students and parents.

This position is perfect for an experienced and driven Social Media Manager to manage our LSS Social Media Communities as well as develop, launch, and maintain effective social media campaigns. The Social Media Manager will have the opportunity to deliver strategic and engaging content across multiple social media platforms, respond to inbound messages in a timely manner, develop and execute social ad campaigns, provide research, recommendations, and be an expert in social advertising with the ability to make recommendations for best use of this media in support of the brand and LSS Marketing objectives.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Build and execute a social media strategy through competitive and audience research platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification.
  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video, or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to act.
  • Set up and optimize Laurel Springs School pages within each platform to increase the visibility of the company’s social content and showcase our talented students.
  • Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
  • Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules to align with the overall LSS Content Strategy.
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights, and best practices, and then acting on the information to optimize LSS social media presence in our platforms.
  • Oversee and maintain LSS social media account configuration and design (i.e., Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures, company information, etc.).
  • Collaborate with other departments to manage reputation, identify key players, and coordinate actions.
  • Use analytics tools to develop monthly reports to provide insight into performance and help set specific objectives and report on KPIs and ROI of our social media efforts
  • Create and execute efforts to drive engagement with audiences and followers, respond to queries in a timely manner, and monitor customer reviews
  • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, such as promotions or competitions
  • Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools, and applications
  • Build and maintain solid, trusting relationships for success.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media, or Public Relations
  • 2-4 years proven working experience in social media marketing or digital media including posting and responding on behalf of multiple brands on at least two of the major social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest & LinkedIn
  • Experience working with a social media scheduling platform (i.e., BirdEye, Hootsuite, Sprout, Buffer, etc.).
  • Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge.
  • Knowledge of online marketing and understanding of major marketing channels.
  • Positive attitude, detail, and user-oriented with good multitasking and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to travel 10-20%.
