Position Overview
 
Sports Interactive are seeking an experienced lead live ops engineer to play a pivotal role in building and managing a new live ops team.
 
This role is a great opportunity to come and define and lead the development of a fully integrated live-ops technology stack and long-term roadmap to support the business across multiple games-as-a-service titles.
 
As an expert in your craft, you have experience of designing and architecting all aspects of a complete live-ops solution, including analytics, content pipelines, remote configuration and event management.
 
You will also have experience leading and managing engineers, preferably including recruiting and building an engineering team.  You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work across the business in order to help identify requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Own and deliver an integrated LiveOps platform, including:
  • Analytics.
  • Event management.
  • Content pipelines.
  • Remote game configuration.
  • Crash diagnostics.
  • User acquisition/retention tools.
  • Cross-platform authentication and presence.
  • Data validation and testing.
  • Build, develop and manage the live ops team.
  • Collaborate and coordinate cross discipline with BI, design, production, QA and engineering.
  • Define a long-term roadmap for implementation and delivery of live ops systems and tools.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Experience with live ops infrastructure and supporting games as a service.
  • Experience designing, building, monitoring and maintaining cloud native solutions utilising Microsoft stack technologies (.NET Core, Azure etc).
  • Experience with databases and building content delivery pipelines.
  • Experience leading and supporting engineers.
  • Experience managing delivery using modern agile processes.
  • Strong engineering and architectural skills and ability to develop performant, scalable solutions.
Desirable
  • Experience integrating live-ops platforms with Unity
