Strategic Consulting Manager
Description
The Strategic Consulting Manager owns Professional Services Group (PSG) value-added services consulting business. This role manages delivery, coordinates with Spok Project Managers, and ensures consulting engagements launch at the right project phase to deliver maximum value to the customer.
Duties & Responsibilities
Management and Ownership of monthly revenue committed to the business:
>Oversee setting the monthly VAS forecast with the team.
>Drive artifact delivery and completion of consulting work on committed projects in the monthly revenue forecast.
>Monitor projects on hold and coordinate with Sales ESD’s and Sales Solution Consulting managers to re-engage customers when needed.
>Remove blockers and drive cross-team accountability through closure.
>Implement scalable processes and operational efficiencies to improve management of a high volume of small-scale projects.
Consulting Liaison to Project Teams:
>Participate in IPKO/CPKO meetings and advise on VAS best practices for consulting engagements.
>Coordinate cross-functional resources to collaborate with VAS project team members and maintain momentum delivering value to the customer.
>Meet with Sales Solution Consulting managers to gain insight into pre-Solution Assessments performed by Sales for optimization opportunities.
Stakeholder Communication & Cadence:
>Lead VAS scrum meetings, set expectations, share status, document action items, and align stakeholders.
>Hold quarterly meetings with Sales and Executive Management on the state of the VAS consulting business.
>Capture success stories to drive enthusiasm and additional benefits of consulting services for quarterly Sales meetings.
>Ensure VAS project procedures are followed across the team.
>Drive project completion and help to ensure all consultants are fully utilized.
Required Education, Skills and Experience
>Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
>PMP certification (Active).
>3+ years project management experience.
>Demonstrated effective leadership skills.
>Advanced written and oral communication skills.
>Excellent organizational skills and ability to think outside of the box.
>Strong Spok product knowledge and understanding of when to launch VAS engagements.
>Pay range: $125,000–$135,000 annually, based on experience and location. This role is eligible for incentive compensation.
