Splunk is seeking an experienced Marketing Communication Director to work within and be a leader in our APAC marketing communications team. This is an opportunity to help us continue our drive to define a new industry and become part of an innovative, and disruptive software company. Reporting to the AVP of Marketing, APAC based in Singapore, you will enthusiastically lead your immediate  geographically dispersed APAC Corporate Communications Team comprised of Public Relations (PR), Digital and Campaigns in addition to partnering closely with the APAC Field marketing team’s across the region (including ANZ, Japan, China, Korea & South Asia), the Sub Theatre sales teams, and the HQ based corporate marketing teams.

Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!

  • Scale brand awareness across the region through all channels including PR and social
  • Showcase Splunk customer stories across use cases including security, IT Operations, data, IOT and business analytics
  • Build pipeline through digital marketing and multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Work closely with APAC field & product marketing leadership to deliver integrated, measurable marketing programs
  • Align marketing tactics and approaches with the needs of a fast growing sales organization

The successful candidate will be leading a team responsible for:

Public Relations

  • Run the APAC PR program covering corporate, product and customer news
  • Build and execute thought leadership in alignment with US based corporate marketing team
  • Executive profiling for regional spokespeople and US based executives visiting the region
  • Partner PR across resellers, technology companies and systems integrators/alliance partners
  • Manage the press program for Splunk’s annual user conference, .conf
  • Manage multiple APAC PR agencies

Social Media Marketing

  • Develop, plan and execute the APAC organic social programme in focus countries, with the aim of increasing engagement and building a local community across online channels
  • Manage Splunk’s local presence on social media channels (e.g. WeChat and build out APAC specific channels for Facebook and Twitter
  • Manage Splunk’s paid community growth programme to grow the community on those channels
  • Build the local APAC Splunk blog presence operationally and in multiple regional languages
  • Manage the APAC social media agency

Customer Marketing

  • Manage the APAC customer marketing program including customer relationship management
  • Write and deliver customer content (case studies, presentations, earnings)
  • Work closely with sales to source customer speakers for events and the APAC webinar programme
  • Find new, innovative ways to showcase the amazing things customers do with Splunk
  • Manage the customer reference system and rewards programme

Marketing Campaigns

  • Manage the APAC integrated campaign planning and execution
  • Align with global campaign teams and provide feedback into the market needs of the region
  • Interlock with local inside sales team, SDRs and BDRs to ensure effective, quality pipeline generation from campaigns
  • Run regional webinar programs & be comfortable working with marketing automation platforms such as Eloqua
  • Build marketing nurtures to guide prospects through effective marketing funnels

Digital Marketing

  • Work closely and align with US based global growth marketing team (SEM and social advertising)
  • Scale the APAC digital ABM plan
  • Build and grow top-of-funnel/awareness marketing tactics
  • Manage the APAC content syndication programme

Marketing Operations

  • Embed measurement across all marketing activities (events, digital, campaigns)
  • Work with global marketing & sales operations to measure pipeline impact and optimize programs
  • Drive a culture of data driven marketing
  • Be comfortable and competent using reporting tools and CRM platforms such as SFDC

Requisite Skills

  • 15 years experience as a Brand Ambassador and leader of an enterprise level, corporate communications function across the Asia Pacific and Japan Region
  • Successfully worked and excelled within multi matrixed, hyper growth MNC Software/Cloud Vendor
  • Proven experience in all 3 Key areas of Campaigns, Digital and PR Management and strengths in atleast 2.
  • Proven ability to Partner with APAC Marketing Leader on high business impact, key initiatives and strategies.
  • 8+ years of experience, effectively leading, motivating and inspiring experienced, geographically dispersed teams across the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) Region
  • Passion for learning, passion for new and emerging technology trends
  • Successfully developing strong partnerships with Senior Sales Leadership across the region
  • Used to create campaigns and track program performance
  • Managed event logistics from planning through follow-up
  • Created crafty, compelling content, with a good eye for editing and proofreading
  • Used Eloqua or similar software to execute email programs and track effectiveness
  • Sense of Urgency and a bias for Action
  • Clear and Concise Written and spoken English communication skills
