Role

This team member will work closely with the VP to support and manage the operations and coordination of the Talent, Learning and Leadership team. This position focuses on combining alignment on the vision, development and implementation of effective management processes and resolution of business issues. The ideal person for this role possesses the ability to make recommendations and provide constructive feedback based on an impartial and analytical assessment. The candidate should be able to effortlessly move from strategy to tactical issues. This position requires extensive working with the leadership team, partner with the IT and Finance organizations, and work cross-functionally outside of People organization.

Responsibilities

  • Define and manage management processes (staff meetings, ops review, team off-sites, etc.)
  • Align efforts on goals and metrics, partnering with People and Business Services leadership (with primary ownership of overall metrics)
  • Able to provide analytics consulting on strategic projects such as Splunk Enterprise Workforce Strategy
  • Partner with leadership team to align and execute against the organization vision
  • Serve as a trusted partner and provide impartial analysis of team performance
  • Partner with communications team for communications: executive communications, and various forums (All-Hands, Director Forums, etc.)
  • Partner with Finance on budget planning
  • Drive and/or partner with leadership team to drive program management and delivery
  • Act as business representative on critical projects, as needed

Requirements

  • Ability to work with a senior leader and management team
  • Strong influencing, listening communication and facilitation skills
  • Ability to apply structured problem solving (taking a large, complex problem and breaking it down into components)
  • Ability to provide consulting and coaching assistance to executives
  • Demonstrated, take-charge attitude
  • Attention to detail and ability to execute against tight timelines
  • Strong Operational and Organizational skills
  • Balanced Strategic and Tactical approach
  • BS/BA in Business Required and MBA preferred
  • 8-10 years’ experience in program management across multiple teams and, or consulting firm experience on large scale engagements
