As a Senior Product Manager focusing on Licensing strategies for Splunk Enterprise product, you will help to define, evolve, and grow Splunk Enterprise product adoption across many segments. This includes ingestion-based pricing, vCPU based, workload based and hybrid. You will also lead definition and implementation in supporting BYOL deployments where customers wanted to deploy Splunk Enterprise in AWS, Azure and GCP. Very unique role as part of Splunk CMP (Customer Managed Platform) business unit and lots of opportunities for growth!!

 Key Responsibilities

  • Drive licensing strategies across key customer segments to increase product adoption
  • Analyze the infrastructure and deployment needs of Splunk customers to build tools and best practice recommendations to realize the full potential of the infrastructure
  • Be a thought leader in understanding latest trends in on-prem to cloud migration and / or hybrid deployments to fine tune our offerings
  • Closely work with engineering in defining requirements, milestones and participate in scrum activities to ensure that features get build to meet specifications
  • Understand customer and user needs in depth; communicate those needs crisply and succinctly within Splunk; and work with design and a distributed engineering teams to translate those needs into clear priorities, a compelling roadmap and high-impact, innovative features
  • Actively maintain a view of how the market, competition and technologies are evolving, and factor it, as well as feedback from internal groups and customers, into the product direction
  • Collaborate with product marketing, support and the sales team to solve for business limiters within your control and pursue key business accelerants

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience designing products / features for external customers rather than internal consumption
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize requirements across conflicting dimensions and to be clear on the minimum capabilities that matter
  • Strong written and verbal organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to lead and influence via persuasion, patience and energy
  • A passion for usability and a knack for simplicity
  • Willing to do whatever it takes to get quality products and features to market on time

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4-7 years of experience in product management with focus on managing infrastructure part
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field
  • Background in enterprise SaaS; bonus if those were monitoring or analytics products
  • Participation in all stages of the software development lifecycle, experience with Agile software methodologies
