Observability is a key area of investment at Splunk, and we are working on is helping our customers gain complete visibility into their applications, infrastructure, network, users, and business services. Logs are very critical to help fulfill this vision. As a Principal Product Manager on the Log Observer product line, you will help drive the experience, vision, and strategy for the next-generation Logs experience. You will also own the charter for understanding the user's journey and identifying the points of friction and building a roadmap to eliminate them.

You will partner closely with outstanding Engineering teams, Product Managers, Architects, Designers, and Product Marketing teams to bring this new experience to market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solid understanding of our key personas - DevOps, ITOps, Service Owners, SRE, Platform Teams
  • Drive alignment across the suite, and with engineering, design, sales, and marketing. Collaborate closely with a diverse, interdisciplinary team to deliver value to customers.
  • Own the product roadmap, synthesis, and prioritization of customer feedback, product research, and related key success metrics
  • Outcome and not output-focussed - define and track success criteria for key features and in relation to key business goals and metrics.
  • Get-things-done. Execute. This means being constantly biased towards action, knowing the data, being in the details, setting a high bar and building positive relationships with other teams, thinking ambitiously, always thinking of the customer first, and rapidly iterating towards something demonstrably awesome
  • Lean on data. Splunk is a data-to-everything platform. So, strong preference to rely on data to make informed decisions.


  • At least 7 years of Product Management experience.
  • Deep expertise in enterprise software to complement a deeply technical team.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving, delivering, and shipping enterprise products
  • Experience building and scaling enterprise SaaS applications
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar quantitative field + MBA
