Role

The Senior Web Marketing Specialist will be responsible for managing content production and project coordination for various web marketing initiatives that drive leads and generate awareness for Splunk visitors and users.

Responsibilities

  • Project manage various web projects of medium to large scope for splunk.com.
  • Work with stakeholders to scope incoming project requests. Document the requirements and partner with cross-functional teams to prioritize web updates.
  • Understand the problem within the context of customers, corporate strategy, technical challenges, competitors and how it affects partners if applicable.
  • Use data and UX Research to help make data-driven decisions.
  • Ensure success criteria is clearly defined, properly instrumented and visible to the team.
  • Create a project plan and get buy-in from stakeholders at critical stages.
  • Refine the project plan in context of minor improvements (tweaks) or a follow up release that deserves a new project.
  • Work with UX, Engineering, PMM, Content Marketing, Web Design Studio to deliver a high quality project within the context of the existing Design System.
  • Engage the production team to ensure on time delivery.
  • Maintain website content and underlying content management system to support marketing goals and objectives. Continuously make recommendations for improvements based on web best practices.
  • Understand and analyze the day-to-day web marketing operations. Work with all the internal teams to document processes and continue to optimize them, as needed.
  • Work with growth and content marketing teams to review and evaluate integrity of the website by conducting audits and ongoing content clean-up.
  • Drive special assignments such as working on web integration projects, managing specific web launches or working with vendors, while hitting all deadlines and improving efficiency.
  • Gather business requirements and convert them into user stories, in collaboration with the Business Analyst.
  • Drive user acceptance testing (UAT) for small to large deployments, project dependent.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule. Oftentimes this position requires working odd times and over weekends to respond to emergencies on the web.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience managing enterprise websites
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business with some IT concentration or BA in Computer Science preferred.
  • Technically oriented person who has supported a marketing team in the past.
  • Understands B2B marketing in a software company and has proven AEM or equivalent CMS authoring experience.
  • Strong work ethic with a "do whatever it takes" and “can do” attitude
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills
  • Strong eye for design
  • Ability to plan, organize, monitor, and execute multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Natural interest in new/emerging technologies
  • Highly motivated, team-oriented, self-starter and self-learner
