Business Analyst - EndPoint Asset Management

As a Business Analyst for the Splunk Technology Success team, you will share responsibility for handling our internal partners, performing requirements analysis, and executing planning activities required for us to keep our Splunkers productive and our systems secure. You will help craft and drive the user experience by developing practices, procedures, and metrics to ensure that we measure and achieve desired outcomes related to our client endpoint strategy.
Job Description
You will be part of the core team responsible for developing, administering, and maintaining our ITAM solutioning. Compliance and auditing accuracy are a crucial driver to solutioning. You will ensure Asset Lifecycle mgmt automation is performing by establishing reporting criteria through observability tooling, and manual steps are meeting SLA's by establishing processes and procedures using a metrics-driven approach. Goals and Responsibilities
- Working with the ITAM service owner to raise awareness of Endpoint asset mgmt processes and policy across the IT organization and broader business as appropriate through communication with and education of partners.
- Crafting, developing, and generating reports to communicate and monitor alignment to compliance, process, and procedure for endpoint assets.
- Analyzing exception data to identify potential gaps of policy and their causes; investigating and reporting compliance issues and remediation options.
- Ensure timeliness and accuracy of asset data – follow up with data/asset owners as vital
- Support vendor audit activities, including communicating audit result findings to partners
- Serve as primary customer concern contact for all IT asset management activities
- Serve as a direct contact for potential business operations workflow changes.
- Ensure the accurate collection, storage, and maintenance of data on all hardware assets within our repository.
- Timely and accurate reconciliation of lifecycle data relating to hardware assets and the asset tracking system
- Supervise Laptop deployment/maintenance data in support of refreshes as well as the end of life processes; investigate and resolve discrepancies to maintain the integrity of IT asset data
- You will act as a go-to for internal reporting of critical team metrics using various tools (Jira, ServiceNow, Splunk, PlanView) and provide periodic status reports to management and partners.
- Identify and report on potential issues with an asset tracking tool, supporting systems, and inputs; develop and maintain related program and process documentation.
Preferred Knowledge and experience:
- 3+ years of related Hardware Asset Management experience
- Possess a demonstrable understanding of IT asset management policies, procedures, and standard methodologies.
- Experience using industry-standard ITAM software solutions.
- Solid working knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB and case management flows.
- An understanding of EndPoint Management and CMDB such as JAMF, Absolute, Puppet, etc.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to deliver a positive customer experience.
- Shown ability to collaborate, establish relationships, and influence individuals at all levels.
