Role

We are looking for an experienced Web Engagement Optimization Analyst to join our web marketing team! The analyst will understand, report on, analyze and continuously optimize the user journey on the website with the goal of speeding and increasing lead generation. Qualified candidates will have prior experience deriving insights from data and making recommendations to increase engagement and conversion to drive the sales pipeline.

A Web Analyst’s core duties are working with data reporting, analyzing A/B testing campaigns, exploring new opportunities, being aware of website visitor behavior and experiences and providing reporting for use by the entire marketing organization.

Responsibilities:

At Splunk you get your chance to put your ideas into action in a fast paced environment. Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Analyze behavioral web analytics data to deliver insights, identify gaps in tracking, and make recommendations for optimizations
  • Create the website performance dashboards for reporting to Web, UX and Digital Leadership teams
  • Report web & landing page performance
  • Develop self-service automated reports to address common analytic asks. Build these reports such that the digital leadership team can review on a weekly basis
  • Partner with Lead Gen Optimization Analyst to determine impact on experimentation / tests (e.g. landing page, trial form update impact)
  • Conduct journey mapping and understand how to assist with SEO analysis
  • Isolate and address issues with tagging or lead capture and drive conclusions
  • Address questions from stakeholders like Web Programs to understand what pages are performing or not performing well, Web User Experience to refine and optimize user journeys and reach website lead-gen goals, the marketing or larger Splunk org to drive strategic decisions
  • Use various web analytics strategies and tools, including user and page level analytics, account based measurements (ABM), click tracking, heat maps, lead and conversion tracking, path analysis.
  • Drive analysis of impact after new updates across content or features are released across the website
  • Take full ownership of analytics setup and integration with other platforms, and spearhead initiatives such as multi-touch attribution
  • Provide general troubleshooting assistance for web analytics reporting and bug fixes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in digital analytics measurement and operations with a track record of measurable results
  • Experience in a B2B enterprise technology organization
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience; background in statistics, operations research or data science
  • Solid understanding of digital and web marketing and can manage and report on marketing campaign tracking, including sources across multiple channels like web, social, email, live events, webinars, and online communities
  • Detailed understanding of direct response digital media and metrics, budgeting, multi-touch attribution, marketing/media mix modeling, and optimization techniques.
  • Paid media analytics experience in a B2B technology environment
  • Expertise in marketing and advertising technology platforms including web analytics, tag management solutions, ad servers, DSPs, DMPs, bid management,
  • Advanced SQL capabilities
  • Experience using tools including Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Big Query, Optimize. Google Tag Manager and Content Square (or other journey mapping software)
