As Principal Product Manager – End user persona you will be a key person in our rapidly growing Enterprise Analytics team. The team is part of our flagship core platform group and is responsible for all our next generation experience, building very sophisticated, highly intuitive interfaces, journeys and user-friendly toolkits. The ultimate goal is to mask the complexity of our industry leading big data analytics engine, making the impossible look easy. This will accelerate our growth to cement our place as an Industry leader and opening new markets and accelerate user adoption as we scale to $5B in the near future.
You will report to the Sr. Director of Product Management. This role has high visibility within the company as you partner cross-functionally with UX research, design, engineering, customer success, field organizations and go-to-market teams. You will collect market data from customers and input from our technical staff to clearly synthesize and translate all this information into internal actionable outcomes to drive product design, development as well as go-to-market tasks.
- Strategy: roadmap planning, uncovering customer and competitor insights to influence long-term roadmap investments
- Research: persona identification, market research, integration with ecosystem vendors
- Design: enable decisions pertaining to product design, support user research, drive iterative design with UX researchers, designers and our end users
- Execution: supporting sprints and engineering execution, writing user stories, groom backlogs
- Enablement: lead messaging and positioning content with marketing, train sales teams
You are a hands-on product manager who can execute and evangelize a transformative vision for Splunk’s end users. In this role, you will iron out highly complex problems, gain insight into customer challenges, business goals and increase Splunk’s adoption across our customer base. Everything you build will need to be tracked, measured and reported. You will be key to evolving Splunk’s value chain in the marketplace and to impact our top-line growth.
- 10+ of experience in the B2B space
- 4+ years in product management building user centric product experiences for large enterprise customers required
- Demonstrated background in big data, visualization and/or business analytics space required
- Equally adept at being tactical and strategic, can speak the technical and business language while focusing on both inbound and outbound priorities
- Bachelors in a technical field (engineering or equivalent)
- Master of Business Administration or an equivalent work experience
