Role & Responsibilities

As a Director of Product Management for Getting Data In (GDI), your responsibilities will include:

  • Own, evolve, and deliver the strategy and roadmap of some of the most used key products as well as innovation initiatives in the Splunk GDI portfolio.

  • Drive the vision for your portfolio towards the goal of reducing time to value for Splunk users with a unified, friction-free approach to getting data into Splunk, and managing the data lifecycle for ingestion, processing, troubleshooting, and management.

  • Synthesize customer feedback, user research, input from Splunk’s Security and Observability teams, and sales and marketing feedback and align your portfolio strategy with the overall Splunk GDI platform strategy

  • Manage a team of Product Managers incl. managers and individual contributors. Collaborate with and influence our outstanding Engineering teams, Architects, UX Designers, Product Marketing, and Sales teams.

  • For your product portfolio, be the go-to leader for customer needs, competitive landscape, and macro-level market trends.

Your products will be integral to every other functionality in Splunk, used by a large customer base, and enable you to work with nearly every other product within Splunk.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of industry experience, including at least: 5+ years in product

management for Cloud products, bonus if in Cloud Platform services

  • Background in enterprise data management; bonus if in monitoring, log management, or analytics products.

  • A solid track record as an individual contributor product manager over multiple years responsible for delivering value for customers and the business

  • Proven track record of coaching and developing product managers, and an understanding of how that differs from managing products as an individual contributor

  • Strong, proven ability to go deep and quickly learn new domains, and technical concepts, as well as gain a solid understanding of all major parts of the business.

  • Excellent analytical / problem-solving skills. Data-driven. Ability to identify patterns and

synthesize disparate data into a coherent whole.

  • Understand and drive the team towards the most suitable and modern methods of product discovery, market analysis, customer feedback, and product delivery.

  • Proven ability to engage with and influence technical and executive stakeholders at all levels via persuasion, patience, and energy.

  • Strong written and verbal organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Education

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related discipline required, or equivalent practical experience.

  • MBA desired. Or equivalent practical experience.

Note:

Base Pay Range

Poland

Base Pay: PLN 338,400.00 - 465,300.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
