MLOps Engineer

Role:
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with data scientists to assist in the development of ML models
- Implement MLOps practices to automate the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of ML models
- Build data pipelines to help with the development and testing of ML models, and serve these models in our runtime.
- Help with scalability testing of data pipelines and ML models.
- Use agile development processes to design, develop and operate new product features
- Use Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) and testing technologies (unit, functional, performance), to ensure that the product continues to be of high quality
Required skills and qualifications:
- Three or more years experience with programming languages such as Scala, Python, or Java
- Three or more years experience with Spark
- Experience building solutions working with petabyte-scale data-sets
- Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem, specifically EMR and Glue ETL
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Knowledge of distributed computing architectures and principles that solve for scalability, performance, redundancy, and reliability
- Experienced with an Agile DevOps engineering environment that effectively uses CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.)
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and to understand a wide variety of technical challenges to be solved
- 5 years of related experience with a technical Bachelor’s degree, or 3 years and a technical Master’s degree.

Base Pay Range
SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area
Base Pay Range: $133,600.00 - 183,700.00 per year
California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts
Base Pay Range: $120,240.00 - 165,330.00 per year
All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.
Base Pay Range: $106,880.00 - 146,960.00 per year
Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
