Role Summary
The Splunk Global Intelligence Team is seeking an experienced and motivated Intelligence Analyst to join our innovative team. This Splunker will gather, analyze, and produce intelligence to support Splunk’s strategic objectives and ensure the safety and security of our global operations. The individual will embody Splunk’s core values!
 
The Analyst is expected to have an understanding of geopolitical, economic, investigative, and business complexities. The Analyst will explore new data sources; create effective queries, and combine information from disparate sources to help Splunk identify risk. This position coordinates implemented processes and tasks pertaining to the analysis and production of requested assessments and specialized products. Additionally, the individual is responsible for seeking improvements in intelligence methodologies used for creating new solutions and analytical tradecraft - based on subject matter expertise in identified threat areas for the company.

What you'll get to do

  • Collect and analyze data from various sources, including open-source intelligence, proprietary databases, and other networks
  • Conduct strategic and operational analysis of threats and risks faced by Splunk, including global and regional conflicts, political and social unrest, organized crime, terrorism, non-state actors, rule of law, and economic stability
  • Monitor global events and trends that could impact Splunk’s operations, people, reputations, and strategic interests
  • Produce detailed intelligence reports, risk assessments, and briefings for senior management and stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with external agencies, industry groups, and relevant organizations
  • Stay updated on the latest intelligence methodologies, tools, and technologies to enhance the effectiveness of the intelligence function
  • Conduct forecasting and ‘over the horizon' intelligence analysis
  • Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of intelligence data and products

Must-have Qualifications

  • At least five to eight years of experience, including in the private sector, is preferred, along with prior experience working as part of a globally and/or regionally dispersed team
  • Analytic experience related to intelligence analysis (private and/or government), geopolitical risk, data analysis, or relevant experience in large and complex environments
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Interpret complex data and draw actionable insights
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to present information clearly and concisely to various audiences
  • Proficiency in using intelligence tools and software, including data mining, open source intelligence and analytical platforms
  • Conduct effective and combined intelligence analysis to provide impactful findings and holistic understanding of threat issues
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated and independent operator with the maturity to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions and operate in dynamic settings
  • Able to work an occasional flexible schedule as crisis response requires
  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong ethical standards and commitment to maintaining confidentiality

Base Pay Range

Poland

Base Pay: PLN 132,000.00 - 181,500.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
