Splunk is on a mission to help companies tackle challenges with managing big fleets of data-ingesting agents and create a unified place where Splunk Administrators can manage, maintain, and troubleshoot all types of forwarding and processing agents. By offering our customers a centralized place to start, perform, and complete their key tasks we want to reduce the complexity, effort, and money they need to spend on management activities. Regardless of whether this is a mass upgrade of forwarders, an overview of inventory health and status, or troubleshooting of missed data and connections; customers will have one single place for all agents' action
As a Principal Product Manager at Splunk, you will play a key role in identifying problems worth solving and creating value for our users by fully owning Agent Management's vision, strategy, and success metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own Agent Management product vision & strategy
  • Evolve the product roadmap for agent management capabilities together with other members of Product Triad.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to identify product objectives and key results that maximize value for our customers and Splunk.
  • Contribute to Data Management product vision and strategy for Monitoring & Troubleshooting product pillar.
  • Engage with customers and run discovery & validation sessions to identify and prioritize problems worth solving.
  • Develop insights into what is possible, and transform them into clear value propositions and results. 
  • Manage communication with key stakeholders and senior executives by articulating your product strategy and execution plan.
  • Collaborate with product marketing and partner teams to support content creation, product positioning, pricing and drive Go-To-Market
  • Understand customer and user needs in-depth; communicate those needs crisply and succinctly; and work with design and distributed engineering teams to translate those needs into clear priorities, a compelling roadmap, and high-impact, innovative features
  • Actively maintain a view of how the market, competition, and technologies as they change, and factor it, as well as feedback from internal groups and customers, into the product direction

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in product management or technical product management role
  • Candidate should have experience in building enterprise software both on-prem and in the Cloud. 
  • Experience in monitoring, log management, or analytics products is a plus.
  • Demonstrate ability to prioritize opportunities based on customer value and technical feasibility.
  • Excellent analytical / problem-solving skills. Ability to identify patterns and synthesize disparate data into a coherent whole.
  • Strong written and verbal organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to lead and influence via persuasion, patience, and energy.
  • Facilitate stakeholder discussions and brainstorming sessions. Be able to come up with actionable items with a significant set of insights and knowledge.
  • A passion for usability and a knack for simplicity.
  • Willing to do whatever it takes to get quality products and features to market on time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field. Or equivalent practical experience.
  • MBA from a top-tier program. Or equivalent practical experience.
  • Participation in all stages of the software development lifecycle, and experience with Agile software methodologies.

Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out below, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.

Base Pay Range 
Poland 
Base Pay:  244,000.00 - 335,500.00  per year
